Letter from State Regent Denslow
April 2020
Dear Daughters:
This marks a new beginning for Oklahoma Daughters American Colonists. Our world is rapidly changing and how we interact with each other. I will never again take for granted our fellowship; the excellent health of all of you; or that we are connected as descendants of men or women who rendered patriotic or civil service to the American Colonies prior to 4 July 1776.
Get ready for oodles of Colonial blue and yellow colored items, sparklers, balloons, and festivities as we collectively celebrate 100 years of our National Society Daughters of the American Colonists in 2021. Mark your calendar now and plan to attend the celebration Friday March 12, 2021 at the Quail Creek Country Club. Our Vice President Great Plains Section, Evelyn Kinkade, has tentatively accepted the invitation to celebrate with us.
You will have an opportunity to "plant in DAC where you will flourish" and participate through involvement in this state regent's project. The Denslow administration is excitedly making plans on a project to support a local female high school graduate who was accepted to the College of the Ozarks (that makes it personal for you). If you have ideas, please share them with me. The second part of the state regent's project will be historic preservation of a historic map or family portrait in the Will Roger's Museum. Understandably, the planning of the exact details halted March 19th so stay tuned.
I look forward to visiting with you and learning about your chapter's activities for gaining new members, projects for historic preservation, and involvement of your current membership.
In DAC Fellowship,
Orriene First Denslow
OK State DAC Regent
